Da Vinci Code is a Fictional Novel-slash-Movie

The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, a novel involves a conspiracy by the Catholic Church to cover up the "true" story of Jesus. A worldwide bestseller fiction novel with more than 60 million copies produced and translated into 44 languages.

It is now showing for almost all theaters around the world and the impact of the movie/novel was vey controversial that people buy it and Dan Brown's work was a hit. Some religious groups ask for the deferral of the movie to show on theaters here in the Philippines for it can stir tha faith of the people, but I am not in favor of the actions they want to happen because first and foremost, the story is purely fiction and that it is only the creative idea of Dan Brown that made it so controversial.

I don't think there's a need to ban the showing of the film and especially it was rated as R-18 here in the Philippines. What do the rating boards and some religious sectors think of us the Filipinos? Aren't they so mean discriminating the capacity of the faith of the Filipino people (Christians)? For about more than 2000 years now, we do believe in Christ as our God, our Savior who sacrificed for us to save our sins and yet be shaken with just a fictional novel made by Mr. Dan Brown himself? Wake up!!!

What can I say to everybody is, Go! Watch the movie or read the book and enjoy it if you want to. There's nothing to be fear of or panic about, after all, the entire novel is unrealistic.
