Midway (The Second Time Around)

June 07, 2005 0
On board a Jeepney going to Midway, Initao

We’ve been at Midway Beach Resort located at Initao, Misamis Oriental last Saturday and Sunday. We’ve been there for our company overnight outing. It’s my second time in this resort and whoa!!! It’s still a beautiful, clean, peaceful resort and the white beach Oh boy! Got to be there…

Saturday night, we had our buffet dinner, we brought with us foods like the all time favorite of most Pinoys the lechon, we grilled fish, kinilaw, pansit, pork barbeque and other mouth watering dishes. After the dinner we conduct a small program, there’s a dance number performed by the selected Harvest SEO talented employees, a song number and we had games that night we played 4 games and our group won 1 of them.

Comes Sunday morning, my phone alarm at 6 am, and everybody woke up, then we tour individually the place, we go to the beach, others played poker, others played PS2, and I played Lawn Tennis and hurt my feet while playing because I didn’t wear any shoes… Ohh... man… I can still feel the pain of scratch I had on my left knee until now. Anyway It’s worth it coz’ I enjoyed the game… it is some kind of a work out coz’ I sweat a lot… But what I really enjoyed most is the mini Amazing Race we had… On the game, we run and ate exotic foods like half grilled chicken feet, grilled chicken head, I gulp raw egg and ate pig’s ear eeewww… it’s slimy. We swim, and make bubbles with bubble gums, made a sand castle and the pit stop is the dart board where you need to throw a cherry and a bull’s eye... and our team did it… we won the game and take home 1,500 pesos. Go Orange team. Whoa!!! It was so tiring but we all enjoyed it…

I’m still so tired while writing this and I’m supposed to make a long post but my mind and body we’re both so tired so maybe I take a rest… ciao…

June's Wedding Party

June 03, 2005 1
If there's one thing we've learned from department store sales, it's that June belongs to dads, grads, and brides. But because the thought of a bride sharing the spotlight is enough to make us weep into our hankie, we're devoting our entire reception hall to weddings and the maniacal showers, parties, and other gift-giving extravaganzas that go with them. The Buzz requests the honor of your presence at this most joyous occasion. Dads and grads, please wait outside.

Regular as clockwork, all kinds of wedding-related queries have begun their annual summer-month ascent. Making an especially large commotion in search are bridal showers. Sure they're every guy's nightmare, with their silly games, chintzy prizes, and the chorus of oohs and aahs but, hey, at least the bride-to-be gets some cool schwag, right? Also marching up the aisle are wedding vows, wedding toasts, and the always handy wedding etiquette . It never hurts to brush up a bit before the big day. Generally speaking, cutting your toenails during the processional is a bit of a faux pas. Ditto wearing a taffeta unitard to church. Anything else, you're on your own.

Whether you are having a June wedding or a Christmas time reception you can find the unique favors you're looking for to compliment it perfectly. Your wedding reception favors can really show your personality and add to your theme.

All Hail Miss Universe

June 02, 2005 0

Just a few days ago Natalie Glebova was an unknown in Search. Funny how a little thing like being crowned Miss Universe can change things. Even before the tiara hit the hairspray, searches on the stunning Canadian had blown past the Buzz B-list and into the rarified air of newly engaged heiresses and notoriously difficult divas. Of course, even though she was the evening's unquestioned winner (she's got the sash to prove it), Miss Glebova's triumph was just one of many search-related stories emanating from the pageant.

Reflecting the Trump-sponsored event's global appeal, Spanish-spellers from around the world sent searches on Miss Universe 2005 up 290%. Also interesting, searches on the pageant were a bit more evenly split between the sexes than we'd have thought -- the ladies accounted for an impressive 42% of queries. North of the border, searches on the contest jumped 489% (not surprising given the winner's Canadian background), and in Thailand, where the event was broadcast, searches jumped 114% and into the country's number two spot overall.

Other queries posting big gains in the Search box were Miss USA, Miss Universe delegates and Jennifer Hawkins -- aka last year's winner from Down Under. And, finally, proving once again that beauty pageant hosts are about as popular in Search as professional bowling announcers, the buzz on shoot-and-miss jokesters Billy Bush and Nancy O’Dell remained well below the radar. Hmm, perhaps it's time Regis Philbin threw his top hat back into the ring.
