Goodbye 2008, Welcome 2009!

All and sundry… One more day to go and we will bid goodbye to year of the Rat - 2008 and welcomes the year of the Ox – 2009. There are many things good happened to me in the year of 2008, it’s the year of abundance and prosperity to me and my family. I was honed to be a better person in 2008 and I will go forward to be the best in 2009 to feel good, feel fine and feel better.

Though good things happened, there are also not so good things but let’s not talk about them, we need to think of the good things and let us make those bad experiences happened to us as a reminder to making it good the next time we encounter those situations. What matters in life is for us to be happy, so let us live our lives here on earth the best way we possibly can.

As we are facing the New Year and more years to come, my wish is for this world to be a better place for everybody. A place where paradise can truly be experience, no more wars, no more poverties, no more insecurities with each others. I know that sounds unrealistic but it’s my dream hoping to make it come true someday even though it is a pretty penny dream. There’s no harm in dreaming anyway, but at least we will take actions to start making it come true even in our simplest way. Remember that “actions speak louder than words” which means… what people actually do is more important than what they say- people can promise things but then fail to deliver. Unless we all dressed up and nowhere to go then that’s all useless.

So to everybody, cheers to year 2008 and welcome to 2009!

NASA captures stunning pictures of Earth

The NASA Earth Observatory provides public with detailed data on the climate.
Hi-resolution photos capture major ongoing environmental events.
Images show how both nature and man affect the surface of the planet.

The Earth Observatory online library stretches back to 1999, providing a graphic snapshot of how nature and man create changes on the surface of the planet.

The following pictures were taken from January to December 2008. From cloud streaking over the Caspian Sea in January to vast tracts of cleared forest in Bolivia in December.

Cloud Streaks Across Caspian Sea

Dust storm off Morocco

Wilkins Ice Shelf disintegrates

Tokyo at night

Irrigated fields in El Gezira, Sudan

Mississippi River floods Gulfport, Illinois

Hurricane Bertha

Polar mesospheric clouds over Central Asia

Sunlight on the Amazon River, Brazil

Wetland damage along the Gulf Coast

Fires in California

Forest Clearing in Bolivia

You can see how Earth really change nowadays... with all those natural phenomenons, maybe it is time for us really mind the earth and let us all move to make this a better place to live for more thousands of years for the next generations.

The High School Reunion (MOGCHS Batch 98)

It has been 10 years since I left my High School alma mater, MOGCHS. Although it has been awhile, I still can recall the faces of my friends and batchmates. I still can recall the laughters and tears we've been through all those years in High School. Yesterday, December 27, 2008 after ten years, we gathered in one place to reunite, meet and greet and reminice the high school life we had and to get connected even though we've got busy schedules with families and works.

Some were married, some were still single like me, some gained weights some lose, some get old some stays fresh and young. (I mean the looks) and some even are now parents. But what's the matter is we bonded and we had fun last night. Thanks to Mr. Michael Bustamante, he put all his energies and dedications just to make the event a success.

It is sad to say that our high school batch though range to10,000 plus when we graduated but less than a hundred attended last night's gathering. But it is okay and we understand because everybody got priorities in life and some were not living here in the city and some even went abroad to work. The important is we organized and we promised to keep it an annual event just to keep the bathch connected until we get old.

I will post some pictures later, I'll just have to collect them from those who brought camera last night since I didn't snap my camera phone last night to take captured moments of my classmates.

The Mom! The Mom! The Mom...

A friend sent me this youtube video and I kinda relate with the lyrics... My parents always say those words when I was a child specially my Mom. But I am glad Mom said those words to me because those words made me who I am now.

The Mom Song lyrics
Anita Renfroe

Get up now
Get up now
Get up out of bed
Wash your face
Brush your teeth
Comb your sleepy head
Here's your clothes
And your shoes
Hear the words I said
Get up now
Get up and make your bed
Are you hot?
Are you cold?
Are you wearing that?
Where's your books and your lunch and your homework at?
Grab your coat and your gloves and your scarf and hat
Don't forget you gotta feed the cat
Eat your breakfast
The experts tell us it's the most important meal of all
Take your vitamins so you will grow up one day to be big and tall
Please remember the orthodon'tist will be seeing you at three today?
Don't forget your piano lesson is this afternoon
So you must play
Don't shovel
Chew slowly
But hurry
The bus is here
Be careful
Come back here
Did you wash behind your ears?
Play outside
Don't play rough
Would you just play fair?
Be polite
Make a friend
Don't forget to share
Work it out
Wait your turn
Never take a dare
Get along
Don't make me come down there
Clean your room
Fold your clothes
Put your stuff away
Make your bed
Do it now
Do we have all day?
Were you born in a barn?
Would you like some hay
Can you even hear a word I say?
Answer the phone
Get Off the phone
Don't sit so close
Turn it down
No texting at the table
No more computer time tonight
Your iPod's my iPod if you don't listen up
Where you going and with whom and what time do you think you're coming home?
Saying thank you, please, excuse me
Makes you welcome everywhere you roam
You'll appreciate my wisdom
Someday when you're older and you're grown
Can't wait 'til you have a couple little children of your own
You'll thank me for the counsel I gave you so willingly
But right now
I thank you NOT to roll your eyes at me
Close your mouth when you chew
Would appreciate
Take a bite
Maybe two
Of the stuff you hate
Use your fork
Do not you burp
Or I'll set you straight
Eat the food I put upon your plate
Get an A, Get the door
Don't get smart with me
Get a Grip
Get in here I'll count to 3
Get a job
Get a life
Get a PhD
Get a dose of...
I don't care who started it
You're grounded until your 36
Get your story straight
And tell the truth for once for heaven's sake
And if all your friends jumped off a cliff
Would you jump too?
If I've said it once, I've said at least a thousand times before that
You're too old to act this way
It must be your father's DNA
Look at me when I am talking
Stand up straight when you walk
A place for everything
And everything must be in place
Stop crying or I'll give you something real to cry about
Oh!
Brush your teeth
Wash your face
Get your PJs on
Get in bed
Get a hug
Say a prayer with Mom
Don't forget
I love you
**KISS**
And tomorrow we will do this all again because a mom's work never ends
You don't need the reason why
Because
Because
Because
Because
I said so
I said so
I said so
I said so
I'm the Mom
The mom
The mom
The mom
The mom
Ta-da

Live Blogging: The Dream Match between Manny Pacquiao and Oscar Dela Hoya

The Dream Match between Manny Pacquiao and Oscar Dela Hoya just started with Philippine national anthen sang by Karel and Mexico's national anthem and followed by US national anthem's Star Spangled banner.

Then Manny came out with a big smile in his face. You can really see in his aura the confidence for this fight. I hope he will be confident as every round rolled out and win the fight. Referee is Tony Weeks and let's get ready to rumble!!!

----------

Round 4 just ended and the viewers are not yet satisfied of the actions they watched... Some are dismayed that this is not really a Dream Match if the fights are always like this.

----------

Round 5 ended and still no exciting fights we witnessed...

----------

Round 6 Oscar never returned any blows after Manny throws lots of punches... viewers and audiences were laughing about the actions because that is not the way the two fighters fight.

----------

Round 7 Still the same... Oscar received more punches and he never throws back... He got badly hit on his face and probably he cannot continue the fight because of that...

After the round 8 ended Dela Hoya's corner decided that Oscar cannot continue the fight and the referee declared it is over and Manny Pacquiao won the fight with TKO Victory against Oscar Dela Hoya.

And that ends the fight... Not really a Dream match since it is a not really a match. OR... Maybe Oscar Dela Hoya is not really in a good condition for this fight since he loses more weights just to match with Manny.

Saving for Holiday Seasons

It has been 4 days passed since the Month of November ended, still I got this after holiday feeling... I am not yet in the mood of working. Everyday, I tend to be shirking and just want to sleep all day. But I can't help it... I have to work since my November adsense earnings for blogs just earned only around 300 dollars, it also slacking off just like what I feel these following days. Unlike the previous months where I earned much more than that. Here's the screen shot of my adsense.

Is it too low? it is wierd because December is here and I am thinking of spending more for holiday seasons, but since I only got that much for November, maybe I will just set the belt tighter for this coming days, so that I can have enough for holidays this December but I guess it is a bit difficult to do that, since December got a lot of promos and sales which makes you feel like going to the malls everyday and I don't also want to spend shopping with credit cards since it is also a burden when the bills came in. I am making it sure that I will only spend or use a little with credit cards. Payday just came in but almost half the pay has gone to the bills, from Internet bills to Electricity, Credit bill to hosting bill. Oh and yes I also save for the gifts.

Since I am planning of saving this month, I am crossing my fingers for that so I can hold tight to that promise.

Seasons Greetings in advance to everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving! or ThanksGetting!

I was still sleepy when I opened my inbox this morning to read what's new message there is for me and I have received lots of emails on my inbox subject titles are Happy Thanksgiving but one email subject caught my attention from the rest of thanksgiving emails. I came through one email entitled "Happy Thanksgetting from Kirtsy!". Since, I know it is Thanksgiving day, I was a bit confused of the title and thinking it might be a typographical error, so I opened it and read.

I was touch by the news they spread about one awesome company out there that's working hard to change the fact of reality, that most people in the world don't have the internet. Don't have computers. Don't have much in the way of advantages at all.

It's called One Laptop Per Child. And its whole mission and purpose is to get a laptop into the hands of every child in every third world country. Every. Single. Child. OLPC understands how a computer can give advantages and offer opportunities in a life-changing way. If you don't know about OLPC, read about them here.

I have a computer here at home connected to the internet and I really want to help spread the news to others who are having more blessings in their lives that this project of laptop.org is one thing they can support to give themselves a fulfillment of their life. That is to reach out to the needy people and help them get education to be a better person.

I have been always wanted to help the needy people but since I just have enough, I cannot support them financially, so what I did is... as much as possible I am willing to help through helping spreading the words and news about projects like this, letting everybody knows how to reach out to the people around the world to help.

No matter what kind of help would that be as long as you did it with your heart, that is something money can't buy. So, Reach out and support the Laptop.Org project. See, the little laptops they make are amazing. Super sturdy. Designed for children's hands. Easy to care for and maintain. And they send them for free to children around the globe. These laptops can't even be bought -- they are strictly for giving away. With one exception. Over the holidays, OLPC is holding a Give One, Get One (G1G1) promotion. You buy a laptop for yourself or for someone you love, and OLPC will donate another laptop to a child in need.

In fact, this G1G1 campaign is the only way to actually buy one of their laptops. Period. The rest of the year, they’re only available for giving. Not getting.

Adsense Earnings From November 1-7

Oh my Goodness! Google seems so extravagant these following days or my visitors are kind enough to consider the ads on my blogs are a reliable related sources on the post. Or maybe because of the height of US election that this is happening now, or maybe Christmas is fast approaching and web surfers are now looking for more information around the web, for gifts and other things and information to gather.

It is just November 7 but my earnings hit around a hundred plus. Wow! this could be an early Christmas bonus from my visitors. Supposedly, in just a week I only earned from a range of 40-50 dollars, but look at this, it multiplied by 2.

I just hope this will increase as the time goes by, This is just a part time or hobby but take a look at the results. How much more if you really focus on blogging and applied the techniques on making money online? I am glad I joined the Mindanao Bloggers Summit last few weeks ago at Gensan, it helped me a lot to go back my fingers into blogging and I applied some techniques that some Mindanao bloggers shared to me. Thanks to a fellow Mindanao blogger who wrote the book, it is of great help to widen our horizon when it comes to blogging, though there are some e-books and books online but this one is plain and simple and I can recommend this to those who are just started. Thanks too, to my ever so kind client/Boss/friend for sponsoring my travel and accommodation to General Santos City to attend the Summit.

So, I think from now on... I will keep on updating my blogs as much as I could amidst of the very busy schedules. But I think I cannot really guarrantee a regular updates on my blogs with the busy schedules. Just when I have the time to update and I will.

The failure is mine, not yours - John McCain

John McCain accepted his defeat and concedes, I admired him for his humble Concession speech. He said "Though we fell short, the failure is mine, not yours" isn't it so humble he said that? I am for Barack Obama but we also acknowledge that McCain's vision is also for the good of the US nation and the wolrd. But the US people wanted and admired Obama more than McCain.

I just don't like the way these McCain supporters reactions after their beloved defeated Presidentiable mentioned Obama's name on the speech when he congratulated him for his victory. I just hope the American people will now forget about the election and move on for the betterment of the nation. Because the victory of a nation's president on election will not stop there... he needs the people's support to lift up the nation into the limelight of success, victory and progress through his term as the nation's leader. Let us all forget about naming states into a red and blue states and let us color the whole United States of America into purple.

I hope everybody learn the lesson well from the Bush term. Look what happened now on the US economy, it is a big failure because the people hated the President. So now that our admired new President will start his term this coming January 2009, I hope people in America and the whole world will go and support hand in hand to make this world a better place to live in. We want to stop terrorism, poverty, hunger, unemployment, etc. and we need to start it in ourselves and let us all be united.

Want a Good Laugh?

Everytime I want a good laugh I always go back to this youtube video clip. A Fashion week over at Paris, France where Ramp Model Kamilla W. falls on the runway twice. But it is not just a simple fall with those orange pair of stiletto shoes. Actually, this video was there for a long time but it really gives me a good laugh everytime so I saved it and watch it everytime I am down and I want a good laugh to make myself feels better. This is not to humiliate the model, in fact I am a fan but it just gives me a good entertainment, that's why.

Moments Most of Us Will Miss About President Bush by January 2009

We will surely gonna miss how dumb the American President when he used this binoculars with the lens caps appeared to be left on.

We will miss how turkeys love to beak the worm like tools he have down there...

We will gonna miss his favorite monkey-like facial expressions because paparazzi's won't bother taking pictures of him...

We'll miss him trying to be strong and get some chest bumping with a soldier he loves sending to wars...

And more not so cute facial expressions...

And the winking...

We'll surely miss the chimp dancing moments...

And more Dancing with the same favorite facial expression...

We'll miss how he tries to display that he is a sporty president but the truth is... (just look at the picture if he really enjoyed it)

We'll also miss how Bush afraid of mascots...

We'll also miss the only reason he loves to watch sports like this...

And sweat a lot when being with two sexy hot athletes...

And how much he loves babies and babies loves him...
