The 2nd Philippine Olympic Festival Mindanao Qualifying Games in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental
The 2nd Philippine Olympic Festival Mindanao Qualifying Games is currently held in Don Gregorio Pelaez Sport Center in Cagayan de oro, hosted by the government of Misamis Oriental under the leadership of Governor Oscar "Oca" Moreno. The said activity started yesterday, MOnday August 13 to 19.
Athletes from Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, North Cotabato, General Santos City, Zamboanga City, Davao City, Cagayan de Oro city and Misamis Oriental are expected to compete in 17 sports events like athletics, aquatics, karatedo, taekwondo, gymnastics, table tennis, judo, archery, baseball, chess, sepak takraw, basketball, arnis, football, muay thai, powerlifting and wrestling.
The medal winners of these qualifying games and all participating National Sports Associations (NSA) national team members shall compete in the POF national championships on November 12-18 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Pasay City.
So, good luck athletes... go for gold!
