Superman Returns

The man of Steel is back in an installment Superman Returns at the controls of director Bryan Singer who was also a director of X-Men. The story is about Superman (Brandan Routh) returning on Earth after five years from the doomed planet Krypton where he searched for any survivor there but nothing he finds there. Returning to Earth he finds that the world doesn’t need a hero like him, as what he reads on Lois Lane’s Pulitzer prize winner column “Why the World Doesn’t Need Superman?” Lois Lane (Kate Bosworth) also moved on with her life without Superman, Lois Lane is in a relationship with Richard White, a relative of Perry White, with whom she has a five year old son, Jason, but the child has a hidden power which I think came from Superman’s power and that concludes that it is Superman’s son. Superman wanted to get back his lost love with Lois Lane and to the City who lost faith in Him after five years of his absence.

Superman’s old arch-rival Lex Luthor (Kevin Spacey) wasn’t happy with Superman’s returns and devised a plan to defeat Superman. Lex found Superman’s Fortress of Solitude somewhere and sltole the crystals which later use it to grow a new land, a new world with him (Lex) as the ruler but Lex Luthor didn’t succeed with his plan for the man of steel is still the Hero for all mankind.

The movie is a thumbs up for me but I am not satisfied for the actions, but Superman Returns is a movie to watch because it is the installment of the past superman movies.

Walk A Little Straighter Daddy : Happy Father's Day

Happy Father’s day to all dads out there, anyway, I am not so close with my father because his and my points of life and ideas don’t go harmoniously. I mean our minds just don’t click but still he is my father and I am not like this if not because of him. Though we’re not that open to each other but I know he loves me and I know, no matter what he is my father even the world turn upside-down. Happy Father’s day.

I found this song online and I think this will fit and explains our relationship as father and son.

Walk A Little Straighter
By: Billy Currington

I remember looking up
To look up to him
And I remember most the time
He wasn't there
I'd be waiting at the door
When he got home at night
He'd pass me by to go to pass out in his chair

And I'd say
Walk a little straighter daddy
You're swaying side to side
You're footsteps make me dizzy
And no matter how I try
I keep tripping and stumbling
If you'd look down here you'd see
Walk a little straighter daddy
You're leading me

He stumbled in the gym
On graduation day
And I couldn't help but feel
So ashamed
And I wasn't surprised a bit
When he didn't stay
He stumbled out before they called my name

And I thought
Walk a little straighter daddy
You're swaying side to side
It's not just me who's watching
you've caught everybody's eye
And you're tripping and stumbling
and even though I've turned 18
Walk a little straighter daddy
You're still leading me

The old mans still like he always was
But I love him anyway
If I've learned one thing from him
Its my kids will never have to say

Walk a little straighter daddy
You're swaying side to side
You're footsteps make me dizzy
And no matter how I try
I keep tripping and stumbling
if you'd look down here you'd see
Walk a little straighter daddy
You're leading me

Yeah walk a little straighter daddy
You're leading me

108th Independence Day

Yesterday, the Philippines celebrated the 108th Independence Day, I am not sure if most of us feel being free on this nation, even if they celebrated it at the Manila and Cavite City but still I don’t feel the significance of it. With all the political issues we heard every now and then on radios and televisions and the rallies that has been impeded by the police authorities, I am not sure if we have our freedom seeing that scenarios. For me being Independent is a united nation but that’s not what we see. Oppositions and the Administrations keep pulling down with each others pants to shame each party. But when will this scenario ends? Every term we wanted the leader to step down, what leader do we want to lead us, a perfect one? But where can we find a perfect, good leader? I don’t think so, if we won’t stop hitting each other this scenario will never end, we will only keep changing our leaders for nothing because most of us wanted a perfect one. So what’s the reason of celebrating the 108th Independence Day if our nation is divided?

So much for that, since it is Independence Day yesterday, I practice my being independent by traveling alone from Cagayan de Oro City to Iligan City alone, to visit my sister who works there. I remember last summer 2005, I also visit here for a summer outing. Anyway, while traveling I felt the full authority of myself, it was a nice feeling being free from those bondages from your parents, I mean, I am free from my parents decisions, I didn’t hear the “do this and do that” to “don’t do this, and don’t do that”. Feels so nice but still I need to go home, because there’s no other place like home to be with your family is the best thing in life.
